-----Archiving
Archive Tracker 1.0 [ARCTRK10] (Robert Barrentine, ASP; reg. fee: $35)
implements a file archiving system to keep track of computer files archived
off of a hard disk onto floppy disks. It reads archive disk directory,
stores file data and can be searched to locate specified files.
Put, Get, and Install 2.20 [PUT220] (MicroFox Company, ASP; reg. fee: $21)
is a set of archiving utilities. PUT and GET 2.2 allow you to archive and
dearchive files from the command line or from a menu, and INSTALL 3.02
allows you to use self-installing files compressed using these utilities.
ZipScrub 1.0 [ZSCRUB] (Dan Goodell, reg. fee: $0) deletes obsolete files
from PKZIP archive files. It compares the filenames in a ZIP archive to the
source directory. If files with the same names no longer exist in the
source, they are purged from the archive.

is designed to make it easier to work with archive files. NEW: a feature

(U1-01) Norton Commander Archive Viewer 4.4 [AVIEW44S] (Chris Buijs, reg.
fee: $0) is a utility to view, extract and manipulate ARC, ARJ, LZH, PAK,
ZIP and ZOO files. NEW: improved use of memory.
(U1-01) Shez 9.6 [SHEZ96] (James Derr, ASP; reg. fee: $39) is a shell
program to make viewing and working with archive files user friendly. NEW:
added support for ZIP files that span multiple floppy disks, can handle to
3500 files in a compressed file.
(U1-01) ZDiff 1.4 [ZDIFF14] (Christophe Dubourg, reg. fee: $20) is an
archive/directory comparison program. NEW: added a feature to generate a
list from a set of files.
-----Anti-Virus
Digital detective 1.10 [DETEC] (Digital Enterprises, Inc., reg. fee: $29)
can detect any changes of any type to files which you have chosen to
authenticate. This can detect activity by viruses which are not recognized
by virus scanners.

scanner. NEW: detects new viruses.
(U1-02) ThunderByte Anti-Virus 6.1 [TBAV61] (Dick Geheniau, reg. fee: $99)
is a toolkit designed to protect against computer viruses and to recover
from them. NEW: an option to process all local disks rather than just the C
drive, more detailed status report at the end of the log file, added option
to delete files irretrievably, modified several signatures.
-----Batch File Utilities
Boot 1.0 [2BOOT] (John De Palma, reg. fee: $0) will tell you what drive was
used to boot the computer.
Batches 1.0 [BATCHES] (reg. fee: $0) is a set of 4 batch utilities. T-PAUSE
will pause for a specified time without pressing a key, KEY# returns the
ascii value of a pressed key in ERRORLEVEL, SAVER is a non-resident screen
saver, and SHOWERR checks for errors.
Break Point [BRKPOINT] (Ron Imhoff, reg. fee: $0) allows you to interrupt a
batch file. This is useful for fast computers which do not allow users to
interrupt batch files by pressing CTRL-C because of their speed.
Get Colors 1.0 [GETCOLR] (Richard Simpson, reg. fee: $0) saves the screen
colors at the beginning of a batch file and resets them at the end of the
batch file.
Hold [HOLD] (Unique Solutions Center, reg. fee: $10) is a batch file
programmable delay. It allows ctrl-c to stop the batch file.
Momentum 1.0 [MM] (Jim Tolliver, reg. fee: $5) lets you ask questions and
get yes or no answers in batch files and branch accordingly.
PAWS2 1.0 [PAWS2] (John De Palma, reg. fee: $0) allows you to insert pause
commands in your batch files which will respond to the keyboard or the
click of a mouse button. QBasic source code included.

Disk Management System 1.0 [DMS10] (BC Systems, reg. fee: $15) is a command
line driven disk file catalog program. It moves files to free spaces on
available volumes. It generates reports based on filename, 4DOS
description, category or volume.
MegJr 1.2 [MEGJR] (Jim Tolliver, reg. fee: $8) displays a two line message
from the DOS prompt which reports the amount of disk space, percentage of
free space, CPU type, and DOS version.
PDF 1.0 [PDF] (Bob Eyer, reg. fee: $20) defragments specific files or
ranges of files instead of the entire disk or hard drive.

one-pass disk duplicating utility. NEW: copies in the background; longer
path names allowed.
(U1-04) Dfat 2.5 [DFAT] (Bob Eyer, reg. fee: $25) reports file
fragmentation in directory format. NEW: file count statistic at bottom of
list, and supports nesting of up to 32 subdirectories and 32 fragments per
single subdirectory listing.
(U1-04) Extract 2.0 [EXTRACT] (Gilles Vollant, reg. fee: $0) extracts a
file from floppy disk images created on hard disk by WinImage, DCF, DF,
Sabdu, etc.
(U1-04) MEG 2.0 [MEG] (Jim Tolliver, reg. fee: $10-14) displays a pie and
bar chart of total space, free space, space used, and percent free for hard
and floppy disks. NEW: screen includes path and Windows information.

full-screen directory editor and general purpose disk utility. NEW: keep

hidden and read-only attributes of any file.
CHG 2.8 [CHG] (Bob Eyer, reg. fee: $20) changes file attributes, dates, and
times on any file. You can also hide and unhide directories. Wildcards are
supported.
DAB 1.4 [DAB140] (Scott R. Anderson, reg. fee: $5) will allow you to delete
all files except those specified at the command line.
DelDir 2.7 [DELDIR] (Emmanuel Verbeeck, reg. fee: $0) is a
file/directory/volume eraser/wiper for DOS and Novell environments.
Features include support for non-empty directories, protected files,
exclusions, list files, extended wildcards, local/global confirmations, and
more.
_Find 1.0 [FIND_FJ] (Frank Jorga, reg. fee: $0) allows you to perform
search and process functions across several drives and subdirectories. You
can use wildcards to find files, delete, save, etc.
MYM2QKN 2.02 [MYM2QKN] (Charles E. Jackson III, reg. fee: $10-15) converts
data from Managing Your Money to Quicken for Windows.
SuperWipe 1.00u [SUPRWIPE] (Gary Jeffers, reg. fee: $21) is a file wipe
program. It writes a character over the entire file so that it cannot be
recovered by an undelete program. Features include 1 to 9 wipes, listing
multiple files to be wiped, wildcard support and more.
Unload86 1.0 [UNLOAD] (Mark D. Pickerill, reg. fee: $0) converts binary
files to Intel hex format. It will also output a BNPF, BHLF, or B10F type
file. This program is useful for programmers who need to have Intel hex
files for downloading to an EPROM programmer.

Best Disk Analyser 1.9 [DKI190] (Philippe Duby, reg. fee: $10) will display
a colorful graph detailing the usage of all active drives. It can identify
the operating systems, Windows, disk compression utilities, networks, disk
type - floppy, hard disk, CD-ROM, etc. The program also contains a search

Future Domain Drivers 1.0 [FD_DRVRS] (Customer Services, reg. fee: $0) are
new drivers for Future Domain SCSI controller cards.
Hard Disk Menu System 2.4 [HDMENU24] (Simon Griffiths, reg. fee: $25) is a
hard disk menu system. It features easy maintenance screens, full
configuration screens, screen blanking and mouse support.
Office'n'Home 1.0 [OFCNHOME] (Michael Meron, reg. fee: $10) makes it easier
to synchronize information between two or more computers, such as a
computer at work and one at home.
Password 5.2 [PASSWR52] (Ray Dittmeier, reg. fee: $7) is a password
protection program. It disguises itself as a normal looking C> prompt.
Secure [SECURE] (Paul Kimmel, reg. fee: $26) protects your files and
directories. It will allow you or others access to only those parts of your
PC you specify.
Sleep 1.0 [SLEP_BG] (Dr. Boyd G. Gafford, reg. fee: $0) will enable your
IDE hard disk drive's power-saving feature by allowing it to spin down
after a period of non-use.
Stan Security System [STANSEC] (Alexey Pismenny, reg. fee: $44-104 per
module) is a protection system for DOS. It contains eight modules that
cover all areas of software security including encryption, password
protection, copy protection, run and date meters, proof of authorship, data
access control, archiving and compression, and installer routine generation.
WhaTape 2.10 [WHTAPE21] (Kaplin Software, reg. fee: $6) is a prompting
front end for tape backup. It keeps logs on the time, date and other
information. It supports incremental number and letter, julian, day of the
month, day of the week and full date labeling formats.

(U1-09) Qic-Bat for CMS 1.2 [QICBAT12] (Douglas R. East, ASP; reg. fee:
$20) is a batch file generator for CMS tape backup units.
-----Subdirectory Utilities
GoFind 1.0 [GOFIND] (Ray Messier, reg. fee: $5) searches your hard drive
for specified files and changes to the directory subdirectory where it is
located.
Locate 4.0 [LOCATERD] (Ray Dittmeier, reg. fee: $7) is a file-finding
utility. The program can search for up to 10 file specs in one search and
provide a listing with full path name, file size, time, date, and
attributes. It can also search all drives and sort the list in various ways.
ZMove 1.6 [ZMOVE16] (Chris Buijs, reg. fee: $0) is a directory and file
move utility. It works like XCOPY, but moves the files instead of copying them.
ZRD 1.6 [ZRD16] (Chris Buijs, reg. fee: $0) deletes all files and
directories included in a specified directory.

(U1-10) DTA 2.1 [DTA21] (Eric Meyer, reg. fee: $0) is a replacement for the
DIR, TREE, and ATTRIB commands of DOS, as well as a WHEREIS utility.
(U1-10) File Finder Pack 4.5 [FFF_JD] (California Software Design, reg.
fee: $25) will find files on your hard disk and present them in a
scrollable list.

C9Out .01a [C9OUT] (reg. fee: $0) compares two lists of files to find those
files that are on one list and not the other.
CardView 1.0 [CARDVEW] (Sound Micro Solutions, reg. fee: $15) reads Windows
Cardfile data files without being in Windows.
Debug - Script File Editor 1.0 [DBG_ED] (Richard Lauhead, reg. fee: $10)
assists in the entry of DEBUG scripts from printed listings in magazines by
allowing you to reassign keys on the numeric keypad. It will also compile
the scripts into COM files.
Diff 1.10 [DIFF_CS] (Softwaretechnik, reg. fee: $20) displays two files or
directories side by side. Differences between them will be displayed. DIFF
can be useful for programmers who want to compare two versions of a source
text file.
Findex [FINDEX] (InTime Corporation, reg. fee: $0) is a text search
utility. It locates words, word patterns or expressions by building an
index of records for any disk or directory. It can index all files, files
with a given extension or any separate files
Racontex 3.23 [RACONTEX] (Guy Software, ASP; reg. fee: $100) is a text
search and retrieval system which also includes a function that will search
for similar or alternate text. It is useful for legal transcript, statutes,
manuals, etc.
ReadIt 2.7 [READIT27] (Emerald Coast Software, reg. fee: $9) is a text file
viewer which will display any length text file.
Screen Tree 1.5 [STREE15] (Andy Ellenberger, reg. fee: $0) handles large
reports that are generated by the account processing done by most
businesses. It manages the reports as files and provides an easy way for
users to archive, view and retrieve them without having to print them.

in the process of extracting and formatting data.

Cal 1.3 [CAL13] (Dan Devoe, reg. fee: $7) will display a colorful calendar
from the DOS prompt. The current day blinks in yellow. Calendars can also
be directed to a printer.
Convert 1.40a [CONVERT] (Malcolm K. Lytton, reg. fee: $0) is a
metric-to-imperial conversion program.
The Phone Center 1.2 [TPC12] (HollowSoft Consulting, reg. fee: $20) is a
phone dialer. Features includes a directory printer, DOS shell, quick memo
entry, calculator, calendar, sliding windows, entry finder, area code
search, time zone search, and a Hangman game to play while you're on hold.
-----DOS Menu/Shell Programs
DOS Menu 2.11 [DOS211] (MicroFox Company, reg. fee: $26) is a menu and
security system for DOS which provides Lotus 1-2-3 style menu commands,
mouse support, screen blanker, macros and menu functions.
Easy DOS Menu 2.1 [EASYDOS] (Serial Solutions, Inc., reg. fee: $15) allows
you to run virtually any program from a GUI menu. Menus can be customized
to include your most frequently used applications. You can also assign
function keys to launch applications.
Fun'n Games 2.0 [FGAME20] (Scott N. Roepenack, reg. fee: $10) provides a
colorful DOS menu for your games. The menu can also be configured to
include sound and a variety of images and colors. <FUN.PCX>
Shellit 1.0 [SHELLIT] (Gerald A. Manweiler, reg. fee: $25) provides a
graphical user interface for McAfee's Scan, SEA's Arc, and PKWare's
PKUnzip. You can issue most of the common switches and commands provided
with these programs by clicking on them from the menu.
Top 2.0 [TOP200] (TNC Technology, reg. fee: $50) is a Windows-like menu
system that stays active during any DOS session. You can choose items from
custom menus in place of typing the commands from the DOS prompt. It also
includes drag and drop capabilities, program scheduling, a file viewer, and
other DOS enhancements.
UltraMenu 3.70a [ULTMNU3] (UltraSoft Computer, reg. fee: $18) is an
extensive task manager. It provides unlimited control of complex
applications or tasks. It alters menus from the main menu screen and
features attractive graphics and screen blanking.

(U2-02) BCM Menu System 2.2 [BCM22] (BCM Menu System, ASP; reg. fee: $49)
is a group of integrated programs for menu and file management.
(U2-02) DOSmenu 5.2a [DOSMENU] (Skip Bremer, reg. fee: $40) is a menu
system for network and single systems. NEW: software metering which enables
you to control the number of simultaneous run instances of an application,
and complete user logging capability. NoBrk.sys is also provided to disable
the CTRL-BRK and CTRL-C. This is useful in preventing the halt of an
autoexec.bat file during the system boot.
(U2-02) HDM IV 4.64 [HDM464] (MicroFox Co., reg. fee: $39-54) is an
excellent, flexible DOS menu shell.
-----Keyboard/Mouse/Joystick
KeyCount 2.2 [KC22] (Precision Data Corp., reg. fee: $49) is a TSR which
keeps a running count of keystrokes entered. It periodically logs the
result with date, and time into an ASCII flat file, one file per
workstation. The program can be used to track the work of stenographers,
typists, and data entry people in a network or on stand-alone PC's. It is
Netbios compatible. It can watch any number of workstations, saving data
into a file on a file server.

(U2-03) Wedge 2.0 [WEDGE20] (Precision Data Corp., reg. fee: $49) is a TSR
which intercepts characters at the serial port, and redirects them to the
keyboard buffer.
-----Operating System Utilities
EE 1.0 [EE] (Mark Fisher, reg. fee: $0) allows you to edit the entries in
the active DOS environment. You can change the search path, command
interpreter specification, TEMP directory settings and any other
assignments in the table. It supports the use of a mouse, cut and paste
operations, search and replace, and more.
Hits62 1.0 [HITS62] (Bob Moroz, reg. fee: $0) measures the success rate of
the SmartDrive disk caching software from the command line. Requires DOS
6.2 and SmartDrive 5.0.
Icon Tiger 1.0 [ICONTIGR] (Dreamchaser Software, reg. fee: $20) allows you
to view icons. You can also extract icons from EXE and DLL files and build
your own custom icon DLL.
Times 3.0 [TIMES] (Barry Rutkin, reg. fee: $0) keeps a log of the number of
times your computer has been booted in a given day.

(U2-04) 4DOS 5.0 [4DOS50A, 4DOS50B] (J. P. Software, reg. fee: $69) is a
complete replacement for COMMAND.COM, the command processor that comes with
DOS. NEW: BTM files can be compressed with the new BATCOMP utility, file
description length has been increased to 200 characters, a popup directory
history window, updated switches, LIST feature completely rewritten, and
much more.
(U2-04) 4Utils [4UTILS] (Tom Bowden, reg. fee: $0) is a collection of
utilities for use with 4DOS (from PsL MegaDisk set #27589). 4DESC 1.7 is a
full-screen 4DOS file description editor with cut and paste capability. 4FF
1.8 displays file descriptions. NEW: 4DESC adds SuperVGA and 4DOS 5.0 support.
(U2-04) Tasker 1.95a [TASKER] (SkinnyMan Applications, reg. fee: $15) will
execute any program and parameters or command line input at any
prescheduled time.
-----System Set-Up, Testing & Control
Computer System Manager 1.4 [CSM140] (RMH Computer Services, ASP; reg. fee:
$30) keeps a record of all aspects of your computer system's hardware and
software. It will track data for your basic system, component specs,
assets, etc. Requires a hard drive.
PC Bench 8.0 [PCBEN80] (Ziff-Davis Benchmark Operation, reg. fee: $10)
evaluates your PC's performance by measuring the performance of your
computer's processor, memory, disk, and video subsystems.
XSet 4.0 [XSET] (Marc Stern, reg. fee: $3) allows you to put anything you
want into a DOS environment variable. Features include built-in full
floating-point calculation, access to system data, access to high-level
user interface input/output and more. It is fully compatible with DOS 3.3,
DR-DOS, NDOS and 4DOS.

(U2-05) BootSys 2.02 [BOOTSYS] (Hans Salvisberg, ASP; reg. fee: $44) makes
it easy to reconfigure your system's CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT. NEW:
support for DOS in ROM, and provides new critical information for running
with QEMM 7.02/3 and DOS=LOW.
(U2-05) ClockWork 5.0 [CLOCKWRK] (Barberry Hill Software, reg. fee: $15)
maintains an accurate system clock without resorting to making long
distance calls to time services.
(U2-05) CPUTest [CPUTEST] (Tony Doimeadios, reg. fee: $0) measures memory
moves, register-to-register operations and finally memory location to
register operations. NEW: 32-bit support, additional results added.
(U2-05) DOSNIX 2.2b [DOSNX22B] (Gerald M.Vrooman, reg. fee: $35) is a set
of UNIX-style utilities which are very compatible with UNIX conventions.
(U2-05) Exhume 3.0 [EXHUME] (Norman Newman, reg. fee: $20) will rescue data
which has been lost on a disk after the directory or FATS have been
corrupted. NEW: support for DOS 4+ and disks whose capacity is greater than
32MB.
(U2-05) Q387 3.63 [Q387] (QuickWare, reg. fee: $25) is a demo of a math
accelerator emulator. It allows you to run applications which require a
math coprocessor.
(U2-05) SysChk 2.39 [SYSCHK] (Advanced Personal Systems, reg. fee: $20) is
one of the nicest system configuration reporting programs that we have
seen. NEW: more menu screens, added IRQ active status, added detection of
Media Vision Pro Audio Spectrum, and much more.
(U2-05) Tape Librarian 2.0 [TL_20] (It's Magic! PC Potions, reg. fee: $34)
creates and maintains a catalog of the contents of your computer's backup
tapes. It supports Colorado Memory System's Jumbo and Trakker 120/ 250 tape
drives. NEW: a new GUI, additional utilities, and mouse support.
-----Video Utilities
Back Soon! 2.0 [BACKSOON] (Tay-Jee Software, ASP; reg. fee: $20) is a
screen saver with the added ability to take messages while you are away
from your computer. It will display scrolling message, such as out to
lunch, back in 5, etc. and optionally alternates your message with music
and animated graphics.
Blank 1.0 [BLANK] (Ray Dittmeier, reg. fee: $7) will blank the computer
screen by a command entered at the DOS prompt or by a set of hot keys when
used as a 26k TSR.
Common Font 1.0 [CFONT] (Scott Roepenack, reg. fee: $15) allows you to
change the appearance of your DOS screen by choosing from a menu of fonts.
